U-Haul Opens New Facility in Springdale

Cincinnati commercial construction company Kiesland Development Services is pleased to announce the completion of the new U-Haul Moving & Storage Service Center project in Springdale, Ohio.

The new complex consists of several buildings located at the site of the former Walmart Supercenter on Kemper Road near Sam’s Club. Kiesland renovated the former 131,225 SF Walmart location to include a new equipment rental/service center, indoor self-storage units, as well as administrative offices for U-Haul. In addition, the Cincinnati design-builder built a 17,156 SF, free-standing U-Box® storage building on an adjacent out-lot. The U-Box® facility was designed to optimize interior cube storage via clear-span frames, 40’ interior clear height, and upgraded fire protection systems.

The project allows U-Haul to consolidate and expand local operations while also improving the customer experience and providing additional product and storage options for customers.

Kiesland is proud to have worked with U-Haul on multiple similar locations in the past few years. A/E services were provided by Sixmo Architecture (Cleveland, OH) and Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (Cincinnati, OH). Matt Austin, Code Consultants, Inc. (New York, NY) provided specialized code interpretation services for this unique Cincinnati commercial construction project.
